So as another semester has wrapped up, we here at Effusion want to thank you all for keeping up with our shenanigans and performances this year. It’s been quite a ride, and we’re excited to see you all next year for our 2013-2014 year of a cappella. Hey everyone! Please come out this Thursday the 21st to Trois Minot (above St. Laurent and Pins) for a night where we break our harmonies and perform solo for you all. This is a great showcase of all the diverse talents that we have in the group that we can’t always share at our biannual concerts and so be ready for a night of great tunes, instrumentals, and musicality. We will also be singing a couple teaser songs to prep you for our March 24th Spring Show! There’s a suggested donation of $5, and all proceeds will be donated to Saint Columba House, a not-for profit organization that works in social action for the low-income neighbourhood of Point Saint Charles.
Be here before 7:30 as you don’t want to miss the amazing talents that we store within the group… we only do this show once a year!
We’re excited to announce that we’ve finalized all the details with our annual spring show and that the concert will be held on Sunday, March 24th at Club Soda! Effusion is also travelling to the Big Apple tonight to tour the city and busk a few numbers on the streets of NYC, so look out for us if you’re around and e-mail us if you’re interested in seeing us perform there!

With less than a week to go till the concert, here are the official details for our Fall show, Effusion: Come Rain or Come Shine, at Le National this Sunday. Doors open at 7 PM so come early and get a good seat for our rocking opener Static Gold. Pick up a $10 ticket from your favourite Effusion member, buy them online here, or call/text Kevin (VP Pub) at (514) 465-2355 to ask questions or get them delivered to you. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door, so try to buy them beforehand if you can!
Remember that Le National is at 1220 Saint Catherine Street EAST, not west, so please keep that in mind or else you will miss the show! It is RIGHT across Beaudry Station if you take the metro, so it’s very convenient. Here’s a map to the venue a la Google Maps:

Attention all MALE singers! Effusion is looking for new male voices (tenors preferred) for the remainder of the year! There is no experience necessary, whether you’re a natural stage performer or you only sing in the shower. If you love to sing and want to be a part of an amazing group of fun, talented, hardworking, and friendly individuals, pick one of your favourite songs and share your voice and personal style with us.
